Summary

Al Gross served in an air observation unit, 42nd Artillery Division, 7th Army during World War II. His unit entered Dachau concentration camp on May 1st or May 2nd and stayed for a few hours. He briefly describes what he found at Dachau and how it affected him. He mentions that his outfit guarded a Displaced persons camp near Gusen, Austria, and also escorted displaced persons back home in Italy, but gives no details.
