How do I cite materials from Grayzel?
Each item page includes suggested citation formats. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance.
Can I download items from the archive?
Currently, downloading is limited to select items. We are working on expanding download options in future updates.
Is Grayzel optimized for mobile devices?
Yes, the platform is designed to be responsive and accessible on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Why can’t I find what I’m looking for?
We hate when that happens and we’re sorry you can’t find what you expected to find. We are migrating collections as they are available. This sometimes means that the content available is not comprehensive. We hope you’ll continue to search as more content is made available. Can I reuse or publish materials from Grayzel?
Materials on Grayzel may be subject to copyright. We publish items under fair use or with permission from rights holders. If you wish to reuse or publish content, please consult our Copyright Policy and cite materials appropriately.
What should I do if I believe I hold the rights to an item published on Grayzel?
If you believe you are the rights holder and an item should not be publicly available, please use the feedback form at the bottom of the item’s page to submit a takedown request or email us at grayzel@gratz.edu. We will review and respond promptly.
When will there be more content?

What is the relationship between the Grayzel Digital Platform and Gratz College?
Grayzel is a project of Gratz College, it is funded by Gratz and generous donors, and staffed by employees of Gratz College. Grayzel is an open resource for all, no Gratz connection required.
Who was Solomon Grayzel?
Solomon Grayzel (1896–1980) was an American Jewish Historian and a longtime Gratz College professor. He was also the editor in chief of the Jewish Publication Society (1939–1966). The platform is named in honor of his legacy in Jewish scholarship and education.
