Josephine Cohen American Judaica Project
The Josephine Cohen American Judaica Project is a digital, research-based initiative of Gratz College dedicated to preserving and sharing primary source materials that illuminate the American Jewish experience—from the Colonial era to today. Its goal is to make these resources accessible to students, scholars, and the wider public. The American Judaica Project's goal is to encourage its users to consider a diverse set of sources—religiously, geographically, and culturally—to deepen their understanding of American Jewish life and the forces of pluralism, exceptionalism, and tolerance in the broader sweep of American history. These assets will be integrated into the curriculum across courses of study, will support graduate-level research, provide critical resources for elementary and secondary-level teacher professional development, and support a range of other Gratz College initiatives.
