Writing to her sister-in-law Ann, Rebecca tells her of her son's reaction to the death of his infant brother and of the life and writings of the Scottish poet Anne Grant who corresponded with some of Rebecca's friends.

Rebecca informs her niece Miriam that she sent books for the Savannah Sunday School and gives a detailed account of some of the children at the Philadelphia Foster Home.

Rebecca writes to her sister-in-law Ann, detailing the clothing she is sending. She also comments on the contentious marriages of mutual acquintances and her skepticism about a Lexington doctor's treatments.

This is a fax cover sheet dated May 6, 1996, from Oldřich Černý to Marion and Elie Wiesel. In the message, Černý thanks Marion and Elie for their kind note, which he found upon returning from a trip abroad. He also mentions that their note helped him cope with '50th birthday depression.'
