Rebecca continues to encourage her sister-in-law Maria to visit Philadelphia, updates her on the social scene in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., and informs her of the death of Ellen Etting Hays' premature baby. She also discusses the political upheaval in South Carolina.

This is a thank you letter from Marion and Elie Wiesel to Mr. Eric Kandel, dated October 7, 2008.
