Rebecca continues to update her sister-in-law Ann about the clothes and shoes she commissioned from Philadelphia. She also tells her of visits from family and friends, including the actress Fanny Kemble.

After returning from her visit with her niece Sara in Montreal, Rebecca writes to her sister-in-law Ann, giving her updates on the health, travels, whereabouts, and employment of family and friends.
